DNA and vision
Kunsthal Spritten is a venue made for its time and its place. An exhibition space with one aim: to unlock the power and potential of contemporary art for more people. Focusing on contemporary art of international calibre and cutting across disciplines and media, we are creating a house that brings together tangible and intangible cultural heritage, connecting past, present and future.
The building and its history
The conversion of the 100-year-old spirits factory into an art venue is part of Aalborg’s overall transformation from a city of industry to a hub of culture. The repurposing of this listed building follows one guiding idea: ‘We’re not the first. And we won’t be the last.’
