Feast Gildet

Kunsthal Spritten invites you to a feast in the boiler hall, Thursday 16 May from 18.00 until the sun goes down.

Feast is a performative dinner created by artist Johanne A. Stoffersen (b. 1994). The evening is arranged by Kunsthal Spritten in collaboration with PlanBørnefonden, with the aim of spotlighting the World Menstrual Hygiene Day. Together, we want to break the taboo around menstruation, in Denmark and globally, and turn it into a conversation starter.

We open the conversation on a period-friendly world over a three-course dinner rooted in the season’s juicy produce, the lushness of the time of year, and the ritual of eating. During the meal there will be speeches and contributions from figures such as cellist Josefine Opsahl and singer/PlanBørnefonden ambassador Iris Gold.

We are now releasing twenty seats for this special evening. Upon registration, a payment of DKK 200 is required. The money goes in full to PlanBørnefonden’s work to provide sanitary pads for women in some of the world’s most vulnerable areas.

The event takes place at Kunsthal Spritten (the former spirits factory on the Aalborg waterfront): look for the building with the tall chimney. The address is C.A. Olesensgade 1, 9000 Aalborg, but please note that you need to enter from Akvavitvej.

Bring a coat: the dinner takes place in the former boiler hall, which can get cold as evening falls.
